East Ayrshire Carers Centre

East Ayrshire Carers Centre Logo

A carer is anyone of any age that supports a family or a friend who is ill, frail, has long/short term disability, mental health issues, problematic substance use or a terminal diagnosis.

We help complete an Adult Carers Support Plan or Young Carers Statement so carers can live life alongside their caring role. This can include funding for breaks; benefit maximisation; assisting with hospital discharge for loved-ones; accessing health related funding; group & 1:1 support; help with various application forms; housing issues; social events & days out etc.

We work with the council & 3rd sector to help carers access what they & their families need and support carers to have their voices heard in the local area & nationally.
