The organisation’s purpose is the advancement of community development and in particular, promotion of the arts, culture, heritage, environmental enhancement and protection, and the provision of recreational activities: all within the Parish of Tarland and the Howe of Cromar in the Marr area of Aberdeenshire.

Tarland Bee Group

Tarland Bee Group was formed in 2013 and we are open to all for membership.We have a community apiary which we teach from during the summer months.

Tarland Community Garden

  • Aboyne, Upper Deeside and Donside

Tarland Community Garden is a Tarland Development Group project to establish a community garden accessible to all, for local production of vegetables and fruit.

Tarland Path Network

Regions:
  • Aberdeenshire
  • Aboyne, Upper Deeside and Donside

The Tarland Path Network, including the Tarland Way includes a graded, waymarked path system around the village and in the surrounding countryside.

Tarland Trails

Aberdeenshire's only purpose built Mountain Bike Trail Centre.

Tarland Wetlands Group

Regions:
  • Aboyne, Upper Deeside and Donside

Group set up to address the decline of breeding birds in the Howe of Cromar. It aims to develop natural wetlands in the local farming system, for the benefit of wildlife, the environment and people.
