Our Elgin Recycling Centre, operating in partnership with Moray Council, is a behind-the-scenes hub where trainees gain hands-on experience in sorting and processing kerbside recycling, including plastics, tins and cans collected from households across Moray. Trainees work on picking lines to ensure materials are correctly separated and baled, contributing to environmental protection while developing practical skills, responsibility, and confidence.

The public cannot visit the centre, but trainees benefit from real-world experience in a safe, structured environment under the guidance of skilled staff.

Availability: Monday to Friday, 9.30am–3.30pm

Requirements: Willingness to learn, follow guidance, and work safely in a practical, team-based setting.
