Moray Reach Out helps adults with disabilities (trainees) gain a real sense of purpose and pride. We offer safe and welcoming spaces where individuals can grow, learn new skills, and participate in meaningful work placements that make a difference to them and their community.

Trainees can choose from a variety of supported training opportunities across our social enterprise projects, including:

  • MRO Yarns & Crafts – Retail, customer service, and creative skills
  • MRO Embroidery – Design, production, and machine embroidery
  • MRO Recycling (Buckie & Elgin) – Hands-on experience in environmental sustainability
  • MRO Thrift Shop – Shop work, sorting donations, and visual merchandising
  • MRO Art Yarn – Creative fibre art using traditional and recycled materials
  • MRO Woodwork – Basic woodworking and crafting unique products

Trainees develop valuable, transferable skills, grow in confidence, and enjoy being part of a positive and inclusive team.

MRO Art Yarn

At MRO Art Yarn, adults with disabilities (trainees) prepare fibres and create woven and knitted items, developing craft skills, confidence, and teamwork in a supportive environment.

MRO Buckie Recycling

A supportive recycling service providing collections and hands-on training as trainees sort and process materials across Moray.

MRO Elgin Recycling

A behind-the-scenes recycling centre in Elgin, working with Moray Council, where adults with disabilities (trainees sort) and process household materials, developing skills and confidence.

MRO Embroidery

MRO Embroidery provides personalised embroidery in Elgin, combining quality products with training and work experience opportunities for adults with learning disabilities (trainees).

MRO Thrift Shop

A welcoming thrift shop where adults with disabilities (trainees) gain retail and customer service skills, create displays, and build confidence while supporting a meaningful community project.

MRO Woodwork

A supportive workshop where adults with disabilities craft sustainable wood products, build practical skills, and grow confidence through hands-on experience.
