Prevention, Education and Alcohol Awareness Classes

This is a Claimed service
Delivered by: The Greater Easterhouse Alcohol Awareness Project (GEAAP) This is a Claimed organisation
Last updated: 16/09/2025

Alcohol awareness in the community can drastically reduce the impact of alcohol. GEAAP's Prevention and Education team offers a range of initiatives, aiming to inform and educate young people in the East of Glasgow about alcohol and it’s many related issues.

We provide alcohol related workshops and information stalls in a fun and interactive manner, we aim to challenge attitudes, increase knowledge and enable individuals to make safer more informed choices. These can shift the thinking on alcohol for young people, to inspire them to make better decisions.

A major part of our work is the provision of our award winning, alcohol awareness programme, Young Booze Busters, to primary schools located in the East of Glasgow.

Alcohol awareness inputs are also delivered to secondary schools and Youth groups across the East of Glasgow with inputs being tailored to individual school or group needs.
