Health Visitor Support Workers (East Ayrshire)

Health Visitor Support Workers (HVSW) support are part of the wider Health Visiting team and provide interventional support for families and deliver programmes of work which are delegated and supervised by the child's health visitor. The HVSW play an integral part in the local health visiting teams where joint working is essential to the delivery of co-ordinated care for families. HVSW support includes; positive parenting, supporting families affected by addictions, child communication, language development, nutrition, play and healthy weight, breastfeeding and infant feeding support. We deliver evidenced based programmes such as Baby massage, Spark, Solihull, 4 I to socialise, 123 magic.

The HVSW’s participate in the Babychat programme which is a mother and baby group across East Ayrshire where parents can receive health and wellbeing advice in a relaxed and friendly environment.
