Mediation helps any family members to come together to discuss, with the help of a trained mediator, the issues of concern to them, resolve conflict and communication break-down and move forward. The service is particularly relevant for separated or separating parents, who wish to negotiate future arrangements for their children. It can also bring huge benefits to young people who may be at risk of becoming homeless/taken into care due to conflict with(in) their families; or to blended families and indeed any family relationships where there is conflict and parties feel unable to communicate about a resolution and move forward from it.
