The Warblers - Singing for Lung Health

This is a Claimed service
Delivered by: The Warblers This is a Claimed organisation
Last updated: 09/11/2025

The Warblers offers a group in the Musselburgh East Community Learning Centre on Monday afternoons (2.30-3.45pm) and in St John's and King's Park Church in Dalkeith on Tuesday afternoons (3.00-4.30pm); sessions are also available online for people who may not be able to attend in-person. Anyone who has a breathing difficulty - e.g. COPD, asthma, emphysema or bronchiectasis - will be warmly welcomed. No previous singing experience is required. We begin sessions by warming up the body, breath and voice. We then sing songs that have been carefully chosen and tailored to assist people with their overall breathing. There is a real sense of community, fun and purposeful working. Our participants benefit physically, emotionally and socially. The emphasis is on the weekly singing sessions but occasionally we perform at local events. Why not come along and give us a try!
