Aberdeen Community Energy (ACE)

We are a multi-award-winning Community Benefit Society.

Our vision is for a sustainable community that truly works for its residents, visitors and the area’s natural riverside setting.

Our objectives are to:

• generate clean, renewable energy for homes and businesses,
• raise awareness and provide education on climate change, nature recovery, renewable energy, and sustainable communities,
• support the delivery of local and national policy on these matters, and
• generate a fund that supports local community initiatives which seek to make a difference.

The income generated is used to maintain the scheme, pay back investors, and support community initiatives which achieve social and environmental benefits for the local area.

The ACE team is entirely voluntary, works incredibly hard and successfully delivered the Donside Hydro in September 2016.
