Inverurie Aphasia Group

This is a Claimed service
Last updated: 01/04/2025

Inverurie Aphasia Group is a monthly support group facilitated by a local Speech and Language Therapist. Our aim is to provide a safe space where those with aphasia can practise communicating in a judgement free, supportive group.

Aphasia is a language disorder most commonly seen after a stroke or in other neurological conditions.

We provide general communication activities and encourage peer support. People with aphasia and their partners/carers are welcome to attend.

Groups run every 2nd Wednesday of the month in Inverurie Tesco Community Room, 1.30-3.00pm.

Please call or email Leah Scott at Inverurie Health and Social Care Hub- Speech and Language Therapy, if you'd like to attend or you would like more information.
