NHS Grampian Aberdeenshire Speech & Language Therapy Department (Adults) Logo

We are a team of qualified Speech and Language Therapists (SLTs) who assess and treat adults with a wide range of communication and swallowing difficulties in a variety of settings across Aberdeenshire.

There are varying routes to access our Services:

  • If you are an in-patient it is likely that you will be referred by other members of the team on the ward.
  • If you live at home or in a care home you may be able to refer yourself or be referred by a family member (communication difficulties only).
  • You can also be referred by your GP, other Health Professionals or Carers, this is necessary if you are experiencing swallowing difficulties.
