Loud Crowd - Support Group Inverurie

This is a Claimed service
Last updated: 20/10/2025

The Loud Crowd is a monthly NHS Grampian Speech & Language Therapy community support group which focuses on increasing vocal effort to improve or maintain speech quality. This approach was developed for adults who have dysarthria associated with neurological conditions, such as Parkinson’s disease. Dysarthria generally causes speech to be more imprecise and lack volume.

NHS Grampian Speech & Language Therapy department run blocks of Loud Crowd groups throughout the year across Aberdeenshire. Providing peer support, the Loud Crowd provides an opportunity for those with dysarthria to learn and discuss strategies to improve their speech through structured activities. The exercises are suitable for everyone regardless of ability. Spouses/ carers are also welcome.

You don’t have to be referred to attend, however, if you would like to attend the group, please contact us beforehand to make sure the group would be suitable to your needs.
