Social Security Scotland is an executive agency of the Scottish Government. We help the people of Scotland by delivering a range of social security payments.
One of the benefits we deliver is the Job Start Payment which helps with the costs of starting a new job. You can apply if you're a young person or care leaver who's both:
- been out of work
- on certain benefits

If you're a British Sign Language user, you can use the Contact Scotland service to contact Social Security Scotland.
