Social Security Scotland
Social Security Scotland is an executive agency of the Scottish Government. We deliver social security benefits and payments to the people of Scotland.
We believe that social security is a human right. We know that any of us, at any time in our lives, may need support. That's why we put dignity, fairness and respect at the heart of everything we do.
We're here to help you get everything you’re entitled to.
Social Security Scotland and the Scottish Government will:
- Be patient, kind and consider how you might be feeling
- Listen to you, trust you and treat you as an individual
- Support your wellbeing and make your contact with us as positive and stress-free as possible using a trauma-informed approach
- Treat everyone equally, fairly and without discrimination
- Be knowledgeable about Scottish social security and help you get answers
You can contact us by webchat, phone or post. We also have specialist advisers based in communities across Scotland who can meet people in their local community.
