Slopefield Allotments

Slopefield Allotment Association is a constituted body set up in 2010 to manage 118 allotments in partnership with Aberdeen City Council and is located just off Craigton Road (rear of reservoir). 

Water is supplied and the allotment consists of 3 plots of 225m², 59 half plots (150m²), 4 plots of 130m², 10 plots of 100m², 28 plots of 80m² and 12 micro plots (<50m²).

Slopefield is made up of 6 rows of allotments each of which is represented by a Row Rep who liases with all the plot holders on their particular row and are there to give advice on any matter that the plot holder wishes to raise. When new allotmenteers arrive on the Slopefield site they are initially given a micro plot which is a quarter of the normal half plot which is standard.

A range of fruit, vegetables and herbs are grown.

With the help of the James Hutton Institute, Slopefield also engage with children from Airyhall Primary School and have a workshop on site.
