High Life Highland Library Membership entitles anyone who lives, works, or studies in The Highland Council area to use any library in the Highland Libraries network. Members can borrow books and other items, use the request service, use library computers and access hundreds of on-line resources free of charge.  

Alness Library is a spacious purpose-built library merged with the Averon Leisure Centre. There are 6 public access computers available for public use including colour printing.

Library Activities include:

  • Bookbug Sessions every Wednesday, 10:30-11:00 (times are subject to change, please contact us for information about upcoming sessions).
  • Lego Club on Saturdays  10am – 11am (p1-p3) and 11am-12pm (p4-p7) - no need to book, just come along.
