We know that maintaining contact with loved ones can reduce the impact on families during the time in prison. We also find people are less likely to offend again if they keep in contact with their family.
If you live in Edinburgh or the Lothians, we can help you visit the member of your family who is in a Scottish prison or the State Hospital.
If you find it difficult to get there by public transport, one of our team of volunteer drivers will pick you up at your home address. The driver will wait for you then drive you back, at no cost.
You may be able to use this service if:
- you are on a low income
- you have additional needs
- you have a disability
- you are travelling with young children.
