Sacro is a Scottish community justice organisation which works to create safer and more cohesive communities across Scotland. Sacro provides a wide range of services spanning all aspects of the community justice continuum. These range from conflict resolution to prevent disputes escalating, to supporting prisoners on release. All our services are designed to create safe and cohesive communities by reducing conflict and offending. The organisation works with a broad range of people, including those harmed by crime and those responsible for that harm.

Services

Support for victims and survivors of domestic violence. Aditi helps BAME women and specialises in helping those who have/are facing honour-based violence, female genital mutilation or forced marriage.

FearFree supports survivors of domestic abuse from the LGBTQ+ community as well at heterosexual males who have experienced domestic violence from females. Emotional and practical support is offered.

Sacro’s Supported Accommodation Service helps to reduce the risk of re-offending by assisting people with convictions to live independently within the community in their own accommodation.

Sacro can help Edinburgh and Lothian residents with free travel to Scottish prisons and the State Hospital. Volunteer drivers will collect passengers, drive them to visit, and return to home.
