Counselling Services

This is a Claimed service
Delivered by: The Greater Easterhouse Alcohol Awareness Project (GEAAP) This is a Claimed organisation
Last updated: 16/09/2025

GEAPP's Counselling Service is open to anyone who is concerned about their own or another person’s alcohol misuse and offers a safe, confidential space to explore any challenges you may be facing.

We offer free One to One individual counselling, Young Persons counselling and Couples and Families counselling. All our employed counsellors are qualified to a minimum of Diploma level and we also regularly have volunteer counsellors who are completing placements through a recognised place of study.

Our therapists are either Person Centred or CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) qualified and this allows us to offer a specific range of services to fit with our client’s needs. Each session will last around 50 minutes and be either weekly, fortnightly or monthly depending on your requirements.

An initial assessment will be carried out on your first visit, as this allows us to decide on which counsellor may best suited to you.
