Children and Young People’s Occupational Therapy Service (East)
Occupational Therapy can help babies, infants, children and young people reach their full potential in the occupations they need and want to do daily like: Getting dressed; cleaning teeth; toileting; washing; feeding & eating; nursery/school; play & leisure.
We work within local communities including homes, nurseries, schools and clinics with children and young people (CYP) and their families.
We also offer an upper limb clinic for those who require support to use their hands or arms in meaningful activities.
To access our service you can: Contact us directly; Speak to other healthcare professionals involved with your child/young person’s care; Or to school staff. All new requests for assistance are screened by our team. You may be offered universal, targeted or specialist assistance.
We run a weekly Telephone Advice Line for parents and carers and also have some useful information and strategies on our website.
