High Life Highland Library Membership entitles anyone who lives, works, or studies in The Highland Council area to use any library in the Highland Libraries network. Members can borrow books and other items, use the request service, use library computers and access hundreds of on-line resources free of charge.

Tain Library is bright and welcoming.

Library Activities include:

  • Bookbug Wednesdays during term time, 11 – 11:30am (first Wednesday of the month is Gaelic Bookbug)
  • Lego Club Saturdays during term-time, 11am-12pm
  • Reading Group every 6 weeks on Thursdays 7.30–9pm
  • Chess Club Tuesdays 10am-12pm
  • LGBT+ gathering Wednesdays once a month 7–9pm
  • Poetry for All every 2nd Thursday 2:30–3:30pm
  • Shakespeare Aloud every second Thursday, 2–3:30pm
  • Writing Group every second Tuesday 4–6:30pm
  • Knitwits every 2nd Saturday 10am– 12pm
  • Jigsaw – communal jigsaw as well jigsaws you can borrow
  • Drop-in sessions for Digital Skills, Adult Learning and ESOL
