Accessing counselling when you are Deaf, deafened, or hard of hearing works best when it reflects your communication needs. We understand the barriers that you may face and offer a free, confidential counselling service for those aged 18 or over who are Deaf, deafened, or hard of hearing throughout Edinburgh and the Lothians.

Counselling is available in BSL and English either face-to-face, online, or via telephone.

What is counselling?

Counselling is a boundaried confidential and supportive relationship with someone who is trained and experienced in helping people talk about the difficulties they are experiencing in their lives. It helps to build trust and overcome personal challenges to take greater control of life.
