Glasgow Life Museums Ageing Well Programme

Delivered by: Glasgow Life (Museums)
This organisation is a Registered Charity
Last updated: 02/04/2026

We offer a variety of activities for older adults throughout the year in multiple venues across the city. These sessions allow them to engage with museum objects in a meaningful way.

ReEngage Programme

Glasgow Museums work with the charity ReEngage to provide gatherings at our venues. These cater for people over the age of 70, who may live alone or find it harder to get out on their own and are interested in visiting museums.

Coffee and Culture

A free museum programme which provides an opportunity to meet people, find out about museum displays and access information and support in a relaxing setting. Working in partnership with Alzheimer Scotland, these are friendly and welcoming sessions for people with dementia and their carers.

Age Well group sessions

Glasgow Museums offer free Age Well sessions for groups of older adults and care homes. These relaxed visits provide the opportunity to explore our displays at a slower pace with a member of our learning team.
